The Reading Room
Read together, at your own pace, under a pen name.
A Reading Room club is a slow, friendly read-along. The doors open once enough readers gather, then the club reads a stretch each week, with discussion threads that stay blurred until you have read that far. No account, no real name. Just a pen name, a secret word, and a chair by the fire.
How it works
- 1
Gather at the door
Each club opens once enough readers put their name on the roster, and it starts by the guaranteed date either way. Join early or wander in late; the earlier threads stay open.
- 2
Pick your pace
Tell the room how far you have read. Milestones are percent based, so it works the same on Kindle, paper, or audio.
- 3
Talk under a pen name
Post with a pen name and a secret word. Threads past your bookmark stay blurred until you choose to peek, so nothing gets spoiled early.
The clubs
One run reads one book. Finish with your group and the next book's run opens right behind it; a fresh Book 1 run comes around for the next wave of readers.
Dungeon Crawler Carl
Read-along · weekly
Dungeon Crawler Carl
The inaugural Ink and Fables crawl. Four weeks, one doomed Earth, one boxer-clad ex-Marine, and the best cat in modern fiction. Finish the book with the group, then walk straight into the Book 2 run together. New crawlers welcome; the lobby is spoiler-free and the wine is bring-your-own.
0 of 12 readers gathered · 12 more to open the doors

Carl's Doomsday Scenario
The second descent, for the group finishing Book 1 and anyone already caught up. Four weeks through floor three, where the stakes and the body count both climb. Same chairs, same pen names, new floor.
